Are you living in Nairobi or planning a visit to the capital of Kenya? If you’re looking for the best rooftop to eat, enjoy a sundowner drink or even get some work done, then this recommendation is for you!

Upon my arrival in Nairobi four years ago, I couldn't help but notice the absence of a vibrant rooftop scene offering the breathtaking green views that this city truly deserves. That has changed.
This recently opened gem that you should definitely check out is 270° Rooftop in the heart of Westlands. Offering three different ambiances and 270° views of the city to choose from, 270° is the ideal venue for sundowner drinks, bite to eat or chilled hot-desk work space during the day.
Their coffee and hot-desk workspace serves as the perfect place to get some work done or even have a meeting while enjoying Nairobi's greenery and the chaotic atmosphere of Wayaki Way. Their coffee, with notes of dark chocolate or lime, is sourced from Nakuru and Thika, making it the only coffee place sourcing these two farms. Don't miss the very cool posters from Kenyan artist Mwadzame.
Their restaurant area, adorned with renowned paintings by Kenyan artist Michael Soi, offers captivating views while you indulge in their thoughtfully curated menu. From breakfast options with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices, to a convenient lunch on-the-go menu for those pressed for time, their offerings include delicious small plates for sharing and main dishes such as slow-cooked ribs and a flavourful lamb patty. One of my personal favourites.
And finally, to top off the experience, the sunset terrace at 270° offers a delightful selection of signature cocktails, wines, and liquors for you to savour while soaking in the beauty of a Nairobi sunset. My absolute favourite: the Cloud Nine Aviation cocktail - a drink aptly named for what it feels like to be at 270°.
